Aftercare

Microblading Prepare Care:

  • The skin must be free of all irritations including ingrown hairs, blemishes, eczema, and psoriasis.
  • Do not use anti-acne or anti-aging products on the skin for 30-days prior to application.
  • Do not drink alcohol or caffeine 24-hours before application.
  • Do not work out 24 hours before the procedure.
  • No intentional tanning 4-weeks prior to application.
  • If you get a sunburn on your face, you must allow at least 4-weeks for it to heal.
  • Do not take Aspirin, Advil, Aleve, Niacin, or Ibuprofen 48 hours before the procedure.
  • Avoid Fish Oil, Vitamin E, Prenatal Vitamins, Nutritional Shakes “Hair, Skin, Nail” supplements 24 hours prior to the procedure. (Most products have natural blood thinners).
  • No brow waxing, tinting, threading, or electrolysis one week prior perform (let natural hair growth).
  • No Accutane for 1-year prior to application.
  • No Antibiotic use for 30 days prior to appointment (and avoid after the procedure).
  • Discontinue Retin-A or laser at least 4 weeks prior (and avoid on eyebrow area after the procedure).
  • Botox and filler on the forehead, temple, and eye area should be avoided ONE months prior to the procedure for those who do not regularly receive injectables.  
  • Avoid Chemical Peels, Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) products. Microdermabrasion or facials for 4-weeks prior procedure. (Avoid on eyebrow area after the procedure).
  • Please Note: You will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle. 

Microblading After-Care:

  • Microblading after care is very important to the appearance and longevity of your new eyebrows.
  • For 1 HR post appointment, blot your brows with a clean tissue to remove lymph. If the oozing dries on your brows will peel and flake like crazy!
  • Within a few hRs post appointment, wash your brows with an antibacterial soap Dove or Cetaphil. Also pat the area every 5-10 minutes with a clean dry tissue to absorb any fluids.
  • Wash morning and night for 10 days
  • Apply balm morning and night for 10 days RICE GRAIN amount will cover BOTH brows. NOT rice grain on each.
  • No getting them wet other than washing OUTSIDE of shower. This Includes shower, sweating, sauna, hot tub, ETC.

The following must be avoided during all 14 days post-microblading procedure:

  1. Increased sweating
  2. Practicing sports
  3. Swimming
  4. Hot sauna, hot bath, or Jacuzzi
  5. Sun tanning or salon tanning
  6. UV/UVA Rays or chemicals as they have been known to cause a shift in color and premature fading
  7. Any laser or chemical treatments or peelings, and/or any creams containing Retin-A or Glycolic acid on the face or neck
  8. Picking, peeling, or scratching of the micro pigmented area in order to avoid scarring of the area or removal of the pigment
  9. Performing tasks related to heavy household cleaning such as garage or basement cleaning where there is a lot of airborne debris
  10. Drinking alcohol in excess, as it may lead to slow healing of wounds
  11. Driving in open air vehicles such as convertibles, boats, bicycles, or motorcycles
  12. Touching of the eyebrow area except for when rinsing and applying the post-care cream with a cotton swab. Please wash your face carefully around the eyebrow without getting water on the treated area. During the shower, keep your face away from the showerhead or take a bath. Itching and flaking may appear during the first seven days post-microblading procedure. However, experience has shown that by following these after-care instructions, these symptoms may quickly disappear.

Contact a physician if any signs or symptoms develop
such as the following:

fever, redness at the site, swelling, tenderness of the procedure site, elevated body temperature, red streaks going from the procedure site towards the heart, and/or any green/yellow discharge that is foul in odor.
